a few weekends ago i went night skiing with my family. (fyi – tony was invited he just didn’t want to go) it worked out nice cuz my mom and dad could ride the lift together, nate and his girl mikayla could ride together and now nat had me to ride with! isn't she so lucky?? haha
and i have to admit that as much as Iihate the snow and the cold i found a new sport i love… skiing! it was my 2nd time out and i fell ZERO times! it’s an amazing feeling going down the mountain zooming past people, and being able to stop this time… (read here for reference) it’s fantastic! my only issue? my hubby doesn’t love to ski… what the heck?? good thing my family enjoys it!
beautiful sunset in the mountains
oh and speaking of family… me my bro and my dad all took the hardest way down the hill. (#YOLO) holy cow it was hilarious! it starts out on this skinny path then kinda evens out before a big drop off. well that beginning path gets you going pretty quick but me and my dad were able to stop before the drop off but nate was not so lucky… i watched him disappear over the edge and when we looked over there was nate laying there with his skis and poles scattered… hahaha he got up gave us the thumbs up and all was good. unfortunately now me and my dad had to figure a way to get down there… this hill was STEEP! after watching my dad i mustered up the courage and made it down only i couldn’t stop so i whizzed by them before stopping before the half pipe. and of course my dad is like let’s do it! so me and nate were like ok then… YOLO!! i had so much speed going on the half pipe that i soared through the rest of the course and over a few small jumps before coming to a stop at the lodge. oh and did i mention that this was all my dad’s idea and he was 49 & 363 days old? such an adventurer!

and just so you know that tony does have his fun too... this past week he was on set filming melted hearts 2 playing luis. even though there were 2 overnight shoots he still enjoyed it... i don't know how he does it... but he loves it and that is all that matters!

I love skiing too! Let's go again... and again... and again. At least this time you could stop haha!
ReplyDeleteYep! Tony has hated skiing since he was about 6. He could out ski his mother and me, but didn't seem to like the cold and wet weather. Maybe some day he'll decide to try it again. Congrats on the new part Tony!
