3 years and counting!

we had a great time last week celebrating our 3rd anniversary! we had both taken the entire week off and it was so nice to have that time to spend together. here is a look at our week...

pizza
when i got off work the friday before our anniversary we headed straight to ny pizza patrol in draper. we had a $25 certificate to use and it was so delicious! i highly recommend it.

gifts
it was really bad timing for my gift for tony... he opened this literally 10 min after he wanted to disown the trojans for their terrible game... haha but he did say he loved the shirt and he did not disown the trojans so it was all good! tony got me a super cute pink scarf and lego harry potter for the xbox!

mesquite
after 14 months of no vacation we finally packed up the car and headed off to mesquite! (thanks to tom who watched the dogs for us, it is much appreciated!) and just like always... the second we arrived we headed straight to popeyes! haha
we spent a lot of time relaxing,
isn't he cute when he sleeps? :)
swimming
eating LOTS of popeyes,
playing bingo (which neither of us won at... bummer!) and the occasional slot machine (which tony did extremely well on) and enjoying our time, just the two of us. and of course i had to pull out the camera at midnight to get a picture of us when it was officially our anniversary.
on the day of our anniversary we headed over to ready golf where i bought me some new golf shoes and tony got him a new lion head cover and a shirt. mike (the store owner) also gave us a used 64 degree wedge for free! i'm telling you, if you golf and are headed to mesquite you need to go there!

that night instead of going to popeyes we decided to go out to a nice dinner at mia's mexican restaurant. it was ssssooooo yummy! highly recommended!

audition
we ended up coming home early from mesquite because  tony had an audition in ogden and we didn't really want to drive more than 4 hours in a day... plus he can't be tired for his audition!! awesomely enough tony got the part as major griffin which he didn't originally audition for but they liked his authoritative presence so he went from a soldier to major! yay for my man!

bubbly
we celebrated both his new role and our anniversary with some bubbly.
we also went to a store called hip and humble where tony got this sweet wine stopper and i got a cute frame.

dogs
of course we took the dogs to my parents to let them run around and play.

nerf guns
while we were at my parents i found these guns in my parents basement so we took them home and had tons of fun shooting each other and the dogs! although they just wanted to eat the bullets...

steelers
tony got us the nfl ticket for free from directv so we were able to watch the steelers game sunday! although it turned out quite disappointing we are in love with the nfl ticket... every game, every sunday! woohoo! it's a good thing i have a calling or else we would of become inactive for the next 5 months! haha
i am so grateful for my tony bear and can't believe its already been 3 years since we were sealed for time and all eternity! i look forward to all of the years to come...
I LOVE YOU BEAR! :)

congrats megan and john!

last week one of my best friends megan hatch got married! i was thinking about it and we have known each other for almost 15 years now! holy cow!!
she was married to john webster on aug 29th in the salt lake temple and we were lucky enough to be in the sealing room with them. it was a great experience and are grateful we were invited to be there to share that special moment with them.
its still crazy to me to think that we are now old married ladies! haha ok not that old but still... it feels like not too long ago we were planning to build a zip line from my room to hers, or making up our own lyrics to 'i believe i can fly' for our teacher mr. e, or planning to wear our purple overalls and striped shirts to my birthday party,
or even making a music video to josh groban and high school musical, or having sleepovers every chance we could, or sneaking cookie dough, or building forts, or turning on the fan and taking model pictures
or just being weird... haha
you get the idea... i could go on and on about all of our good times we have had but i will just leave you with a cute picture of us.
us at age 12 at girls camp and us at megan's reception
congrats again megan and john i can't wait to see where life takes you! :)

ps they rented a 1936 cadillac fleetwood, series 70 to ride in that day and the owner let me jump inside! how awesome is that?! someday i'm going to have a sweet old car of my own!
