puppies!

here are some recent fun pictures of our puppies! they are so much fun but a lot of work too!

king is our white and gray puppy. as tony puts it... he is kinda a wuss! haha but besides that he is a loud snorer and it's pretty funny! we can hear him snoring on the opposite side of the house... that's how loud it is! he is definitely the calmer one of the two... but he is still a puppy and loves to play too! he is the sneak attack type of dog... he will pretend he is calm then out of nowhere will come at you head first! if you aren't paying attention its quite the surprise! he also seems to be growing a lot faster... he is about 50 pounds now (5 ahead of luna) and is a few inches taller than her too.

luna is the dark brown and white puppy. she is a tough little girl who is quite vocal... we think she is just trying to show her brother who is boss! just because king is bigger doesn't mean he is in charge! she might act tough on the outside but deep down she is a sweetheart! she also loves anything that squeaks... she will sit there and squeak her toys until we just about go insane! her favorite are the squeaky tennis balls.

they love to wrestle and play with each other and the other bigger dogs in our neighborhood. especially willow (a golden retriever) and hopper (another pit bull).

they are quite entertaining while sleeping. they constantly try to run, bark and as you can see from the pictures... they fall asleep in the funniest positions!

they also love the laser pointer... that could keep all 4 of us entertained for hours!

they also haven't quite figured out what the tv is... they will sit and watch it and occasionally bark at it... its really funny!

 we also like to take them for car rides. luna loves them! when she hears the doors unlock she runs to the car and jumps inside. she also loves sticking her head out the window and watching cars. king is more laid back and just sits there. we aren't quite sure if he likes the car rides yet... but we know they both love all of the different smells of the world... their noses are constantly sniffing everything!

they also have a toy that we put treats in and they have to figure out how to get them out. luna has figured it out and king... well he just sits and waits for luna to get the treats out then he will go in and eat them!

and just like all other puppies they have a love for chewing on our clothes... especially king. and for some reason he loves the drawstring on sweaters and tony's socks... gross! haha

we love our puppies so much and are so happy they are part of our little family!!

and he is off to russia!

well actually just the mtc... but you know what i mean. anyways as you all remember my brother was called to serve in the novosibirsk russia mission and left last week for the mtc! it still is so crazy to think my crazy little brother is going to be in russia for 2 years! anyways... before he left we were able to spend some time with him.

on friday nate stayed at our house until one that morning. he played with king and luna and also played some tiger woods golf with me and tony. our puppies will be huge when he gets back!

then on monday my dad took us all golfing again! nate had a few pars and a few almost birdies which he was happy with for his last round of golf for 2 years. thanks again dad for taking us!

tuesday night nate got set apart as a missionary. my mom invited us over for some dinner and doughnuts! pres critchlow gave nate a wonderful blessing and it just further confirms my belief that nate is amazing and going to do great things, not only on his mission but in the future too.

i know i've said it before but i know my brother will be an amazing missionary and i know the people of russia will love him! we are both going to miss him but know that he is doing the Lord's work and we are so excited to see what he will accomplish there.
