obsessed with cars pink and antiques!

so as i'm sure you all know i love old classic cars. in case you don't remember they were on our wedding announcement! (i was also fortunate enough to find a man who shares my love of cars! yay!!)
well my grandpa jensen knows this love i have (i found the cars for our pictures through him) and made me this!
this isn't one of those toy cars that you buy as is... no... my grandpa spent several months making this for us with those car kits you can buy and build yourself! how sweet is he?? what makes it even cooler was the fact that my grandpa used to own this car back in the day and he painted it exactly the way his car looked! anyways thanks again grandpa for my new car! love you! :)

and along with old cars... i love the color pink! if you don't know that by now... you really don't know me at all! haha anyways... so me and tony were over at tom's new house when i spotted this little pink crystal glass that belonged to tony's grandma before she passed away last year.
i really wanted it and tom was nice enough to give it to me... along with 5 other pink crystal glasses!!
so i took them home and cleaned them up! aren't they awesome?!
i also found this awesome antique-y lamp that i wanted... and tom let me take that home too! it doesn't really match anything in our house... yet... but i loved it too much to just pass up!
don't worry... tony found himself something too. he found this book full of art that we proudly display on our bookshelf! and i have to admit... there are some pretty sweet paintings in it.
thanks tom! although i must warn you, if you keep letting me take stuff home with me, tony won't let me come over to your house anymore... haha just kidding!

tony's birthday week!

well since i got a whole week for my birthday, i decided it was only fair that so did tony! i feel bad cuz we didn't go anywhere or do anything really special... but i still just let him do what he wanted for the week! but even that didn't really go anywhere... this is how most of our conversations went...

me: what do you want to do?
tony: what do you want to do?
me: its your birthday week, you have to choose!
tony: well... i want to do what you want to do!

see my point? but at least i tried. anyways he did make one decision this week (yay!) tony told me that he wanted to go to the temple for his birthday! so i talked to my parents and settled on going wednesday. it is always so nice to go to the temple and just get away from the world for a few hours!

we did stay up the night before so we could celebrate his birthday right at midnight like we did for my birthday. i have to admit that i did fall asleep on the couch before the midnight mark but was awake at midnight to celebrate and have tony open one of his gifts from me! yay!

deciding which cd to open... haha

so anyways on tony's actual birthday he had to work (bummer i know...) but then when we both got home tony opened up his gifts from me!

after gifts tom took us out for dinner to famous daves! it was so good! (as usual) thanks tom!!
then when we got home we hung out with our friends nat and taylor! we decided to go mini golfing at hollywood connection and then went to chili's for some dessert! it was so fun! i love hanging out with them! :)
ps we missed you em and cory!
saturday we slept in (as usual) and went shopping to look for a mic stand for rock band! tony has wanted one for a while and we finally found one at game stop. but before going home to try it out we went to dinner with sue, ray, alex, and grandma fitzgerald at la hacienda. it was really yummy! thanks fitzgeralds!
after dinner we went home, made tony a cake and tried out his new mic stand! its fun and challenging to try and play guitar and sing at the same time...
if you look close you can see tony's 'signature mark' in the frosting
anyways... now onto sunday... my mom cooked us a fabulous roast for dinner for tony's birthday! i always love a good sunday dinner at my parents house! :) thanks mom!!
we then watched amazing race and talked to brit on skype! (only a couple more weeks til they are here for christmas by the way! yay!) anyways... with a week full of food, cake, rock band, spending money, and me (of course) i think its safe to say tony enjoyed his birthday week! :)

happy thanksgiving!

this year was not as crazy as last year's thanksgiving! (thankfully) last year we ate 3 thanksgiving meals within hours of each other! we were pretty full by the time we got home that night! anyways... this year my grandma and grandpa jensen had thanksgiving dinner the sunday before thanksgiving. (most of the jensen's were heading down to mesquite for the holiday) it was delicious as usual! we also kept with tradition and the grandkids got to decorate my grandparents tree! (even though this is really for the little kids, i put up a few of my favorites)

on thanksgiving day we had dinner at sue and ray's house. it was really yummy! then we headed over to uncle jim's house for some delicious apple pie! it is always fun to spend some time with tony's side of the family!

then came black friday... the busiest shopping day of the year... and what did me and tony do you ask? we worked at kohls! haha yep... i went back to work at kohls on the busiest day of the year. oh! and get this... we had to be there at 2:30am!!
can you tell we are like half asleep??
call me crazy for going back but tony was already working that day and so instead of sitting home by myself all day i decided to go back and work for a day! haha it was actually really fun! it was like the good ole days before we were married... tony working in shoes, me in jewelry and both of us finding any excuse to walk by and talk with each other! :) anyways we were supposed to be off at 2 that afternoon but because it wasn't as busy as they had planned me and tony left by 7:00am. so what did we do the rest of the day? shopped at the mall of coarse! neither of us had ever been shopping black friday and it was actually a lot less busier than i thought it would be. then again that could be because all of those crazy 'early birds' had gone home... i don't know. but we did find some pretty sweet deals!

then saturday i finally put up our christmas decorations! (tony doesn't like to start decorating for christmas until after thanksgiving. i'm sure that he will eventually cave and let me start decorating when i want... haha) anyways... i did get to get some of my christmas decorating out of me when i spent the saturday before thanksgiving helping my mom decorate her house! it was so much fun and i kinda went crazy!! haha but i know she appreciated having me there, right mom?? :) anyways here are some of my favorite decorations from our house! (ok so they are the only decorations we really have right now... but building up a collection takes time!)
