this past weekend we finally made it down to mesquite! we didn’t care what came up this time… we were determined to get there! haha but before i get into our adventures and how it "rained dollars" we started our vacation with a nice relaxing massage.
it was a left over christmas gift that we got for a steal of a deal from ksl deals and although i was a little skeptical when we walked into the basement of an office building it was so worth it! i had never had a massage and oh my was i missing out!! not only was it amazing but it came with a drink and some chocolates! heck ya!
my only complaint?? they almost stole my necklace from me... well i really almost lost it haha the one tony gave me while we were dating, the one i wore for my wedding and that i wear daily… yes that necklace! i had taken it off before the massage and accidently left it there. so i called when we got home and they told me they would look for it and call me back… no word… nothing! i started to panic that maybe the cleaning crew came in and might possibly vacuum it up. so tony being the great hubby he is drove all the way back downtown so we could possibly catch a cleaning crew and grab my necklace. but wouldn't you know there was no one there and after about 15 min of trying to get in or find somebody to get us in there we reluctantly drove home and decided to wait til morning to get it. to make an already long story short-er… we got it back! surprisingly no one had stolen it or even seen it for that matter. i’m just happy i didn’t lose it!
so yes after the necklace fiasco i was able to relax and we headed south! here’s a look at our weekend:
BINGO
of course this is going to be first to talk about because tony won for the first time ever!!!!! i didn’t even know it was coming… we usually tell each other when we get close and i was in my own little bingo world when all of a sudden tony yells out ‘bingo!’ i was like whaaa??? it had to be chuck’s lucky little note he wrote on tony’s receipt before the game started… so thanks chuck! it only took tony like 4 years to finally get a win. but his luck didn’t end there… we ended up playing the party session where they have drawings and tony won another $20! which is why he chose the title of raining dollars… cuz for him it was!
FOOD
we went to popeyes of course but we also went to the seafood buffet saturday night. DELICIOUS! they had crab legs there and OH MY GOSH! i wish we had an all you can eat crab leg place around here… then again maybe not… i would probably waste so much money there!! haha anyways… my point is… YUM!
POOL
me and nat got our tan on! we both wore our new swimsuits
and thankfully did not get super burnt… we learned the hard way the year before…
while we enjoyed the pool the boys were going to go golfing but since it was prime time for golfing and 18 holes would cost like $80 each they decided to hit a bucket of balls instead. but of course they had to finish watching the people melt in indiana jones.... hahaha
ENTERTAINMENT
we found a cover band playing some songs inside the eureka so we went in to listen and wow was it entertaining! the music was good but the band itself and the drunk crazy people dancing were HILARIOUS! haha

as we were talking by the pool me and nat realized that we have been friends for close to 10 years now! what??? where has the time gone. we are both so lucky to have each other as well as hubbys that get along so well. it really could not have worked out any better.
they are like family to us and what do families do?? take an awkwardly staged family picture of course! love it!
