merry christmas!

this year for christmas we were able to spend time with both of our families and thank everyone for making this year amazing!

our christmas really started christmas eve when my family got to skype with nate in russia! we tried to 3 way skype with britt josh and drew but after a few failed attempts we just had them on the phone so they could at least hear him.

then of course on christmas we had a busy day visiting family! here are a few snapshots of what the day looked like for the davis family...

we started off the morning by opening gifts from each other and santa

i think its safe to say that king and luna quite enjoyed their first christmas... new toys and lots of treats! they were in heaven!

then went to my grandparents house for breakfast and the $5 gift exchange

i'm not sure why but this is the only pictures i have from breakfast at my grandparent jensen's house... i will have to remember to take more pictures next year...

then tom and trudy came over to exchange gifts

then we were off to my parents house for dinner with the loosle's

and of course we had to wish nate a merry christmas! :)

then we ended the day with sue and ray and grandma fitzgerald and her 3 cute puppies

we hope everyone had a very merry christmas! now bring on 2012! :)

more birthday fun!

tony got lucky this year... his birthday celebration just keeps going! haha

my parents invited us over for dinner last sunday for his birthday. and just like i expected... the roast was so yummy! thanks mom!

also in case anyone is wondering... remember how tony received $30 to uinta golf from me? this is what he got.... a sweet white belt with a nike logo belt buckle!

tony also got the motorolla xoom with all of the cash he collected from family. it was a black friday deal and he ended up getting it for $200!! sweet deal!

we also finally got to go out to dinner just the two of us. thanks to my sister natalie who gave us a red lobster gift card for christmas we were able to get out of there for about $25! thanks nat! :)

in other news nate is officially in novosibirsk, russia now! i'm so excited for him! he is loving every minute of it and continuing to learn the language. and i just have to say that every email we get cracks me up... they are all written in "typical nate" fashion... so funny!

oh! and i'm excited because he will be skyping my parents on christmas eve! it will be so fun to talk to him face to face... sorda... haha

ps: for those of you who are wondering i am in the process of setting up my own website for my photography... by the beginning of next year i will have it set up and will post more pictures.

the big 3-0

so as i am sure you all know by now tony turned the big 3-0 last weekend! we have had a fun week celebrating!

friday night (the night before his birthday) tom and trudy took us out to famous daves for dinner... so yummy!!

 then of course we stayed up until midnight so we could celebrate with some 'ice'! which are so delicious by the way...

 the morning of his birthday we slept in, watched tv and relaxed most of the day. it was so nice to just do nothing and be lazy! haha and of course we opened presents too! tony got $30 to uinta golf and a choice of where he wanted to go for dinner!

 oh! and i got him a bike too! :)

that night sue and ray took us, alex and grandma fitzgerald to redlobster! yummy!! 

 oh! and we had the best waiter there... taylor! he even lit the candle on tony's key lime pie dessert and sang happy birthday to tony! such a nice friend! :)

 then the week after his birthday we continued the celebration with some bubbly...

 some sara lee cherry pie...

 and a trip to b&d burgers. it was actually really really yummy and came with huge shakes! awesome!

 and in case you are wondering... his celebration will continue with my family in another week or so. pot roast here we come! :)

so i forgot to mention in my last post but for anyone that is interested the good luck charlie christmas movie that i talked about in this post will be premiering tonight! we are in the airplane scenes and tony will also be in the scenes shot at the gateway mall. it will be on disney channel at 7 tonight so if anyone wants to see us... better set your dvr! :)



november...

so i realized the other day that i haven't posted once in november... probably because nothing new is going on in our lives! haha 

so this year for thanksgiving my sister brittney and her husband josh and their little boy drew flew in to spend the weekend with our family. we were able to spend time with them and they even let me take some family pictures! they will be posted to my other blog within the next couple of days... stay tuned! :)  *side note: i also made my little sister nat pose for a few photos too so those will also be on my blog!*

we also decided to try the whole midnight shopping on black friday... it was pretty crazy. we went to both fashion place and south towne mall with natalie and taylor. after a few hours and only one thing crossed off our list we decided to go to bed and try again later that night... which we did and we were able to get a few more things! woohoo!!

in other news our puppies got fixed the week before thanksgiving... poor puppies! luna threw up 3 times that night we brought them home (twice in tony's car...) and a week after the surgery king didn't appear to be healing right so we took him to the vet at 1 in the morning thanksgiving morning. there was nothing wrong but it's better to be safe than sorry! king was also lucky enough to have to wear the cone of shame... haha poor guy!

oh yes... they think they own own our bed too... haha aren't they so cute?

and in case you wanted to know... yes we have all of our christmas decorations up, yes i have been listening to christmas music the past couple of weeks and yes we have been watching christmas movies since the beginning of november... it was even tony's idea! amazing!! speaking of tony... don't forget to wish him a happy birthday saturday! :)
