christmas is always one of my favorite times of the year! (except for the cold and snow!) my sister brittney and her family were in town so we spent a lot of time with them. we started off our christmas celebration early this year. typically we have breakfast christmas morning at my grandma and grandpa jensen's house but since they would be in florida this year we ended up having the whole shebang a week and a half before christmas.
then the saturday before christmas we met my family downtown to eat at tucanos. it was so yummy!
this picture my dad took makes me laugh
that night we went to trudy's family christmas party but i don't have any pictures so you will just have to imagine us there! haha
christmas eve eve has always been a celebration growing up in my family. we exchange sibling gifts and back in the day we would sleep down by the christams tree. well, since we are all grown up now we don't sleep by the tree anymore but we still eat dinner, open gifts and hang out! this year my dad mom and nat helped drew make a gingerbread train and house while me and britt did some crafts and our hubbies watched some tv and hung out.
christmas eve was not so good... first of all tony had to work... bummer. but to top it off i had some sort of stomach flu or something! i was up the whole night before sitting on the toilet... plus i couldn't stand the sight of any sort of food... it made me want to puke! but anyways that night my brother was skyping us from russia so i rested all day so we could at least make it to my parents house to say hi!
christmas day i was feeling much better which is good because we had our families to go visit! here is what our day looked like:
christmas morning! tony got a lot of sports and entertainment memorabilia and i got a new pink ipod and lots of clothes and shoes.
breakfast at ihop with tom and trudy
we found this gag gift box at fye for a pet petter. the box was hilarious, we were dying of laughter when we read it and so we couldn't pass it up. it was talking about how filthy your pets are and how with this device you will never have to touch your pet again, and it goes up to like 85 ppm (pets per minute) and some bogus product reviews! haha so we decided to put candy inside and let trudy open it. it was so much fun to watch! she got kinda of sad because she still wants to pet her kitty! haha sorry trudy but we couldn't resist! :)
opening gifts at my parents. we got drew a sweet remote control car
trying out tony's new golf glasses... haha
dinner with my grandma and grandpa loosle
opening gifts at tony's grandma fitzgerald's house
and in case you were wondering... the dogs had a great christmas too! they love ripping open presents. luna even came over a few times with a wrapped toy as if to ask "can i open this one now??" haha king was just happy to have more toys to chew on!
we found these cute santa hats for the pups that i couldn't pass up! too bad they wouldn't sit still with them on long enough for me to get a shot of them both... but don't they look so cute?!
hope you all had a wonderful christmas too and have a happy new year!
