the grand tour!

so i have had this post as a draft for about 2 years now and now that we have officially moved out i am going to finally post it! haha after we had moved in i wanted to post some pictures of our decorated house but by the time we had fully moved in the house needed a spring cleaning, then we started changing things around and i kept taking new pictures of how the house looked. so i am just going to post random pictures i have taken throughout the years of our first home.
(and if you really want... the before pictures are here)
here is the kitchen area (i love the martha stewart blue appliances)
2010
2013
then we have our living room. we used to have brown couches...
but sold them at a garage sale and got our rust sectional which i love!!
the black bookshelf that tony spray painted all by himself that ended up being a huge pain... but i love it and it just wouldn't of matched in its original ugly light color!
then here is our office
2010
 2013
our wall of collectibles!
laundry room... boring... haha although i do love our washer and dryer! they are really quiet and they sing little jingles when the laundry is done! its so cute! plus we got them for a steal!! :)
then we have the guest bathroom (can you guess who decorated this room?! haha)
guest bedroom (which i never got a picture of) / a room where the dogs can play with their toys.
then our bedroom - it's still boring i know... haha
and our bathroom
and closet... look how *sort of* clean my side is mom! :)
tony put up these shelves and they were so handy! you have no idea! good idea bear!
and some exterior pictures...
we had the best condo location. lots of grass around us plus a playground and basketball court. most of the other condos face other condos.... so at least we have something interesting to look at when we look outside! haha
even tho it was bitter sweet to be leave our first home we are both really excited for this new adventure we are about to embark on! and to finally have a house with a yard for the pups! yay!!

cabin fever!

sadly tony had to work on labor day this year but that didn’t stop me from partying!! haha (don’t feel too bad… he had a week off about a week ago and i didn’t so… ya) my parents and sister natalie were planning on going to my grandma and grandpa jensen’s cabin so i tagged along. and when i say cabin… i mean cabin! i’m talking hand built, no running water, no electricity, outhouse kind of cabin!
i hadn’t been up there in years and after we thought we lost it last year to the church camp fire the timing just felt right! although some things had changed since i had been there last (no more carpet in the cabin, less trees, no more rope swing chair – which I am declaring we need to get a new one up there…) we still had so much fun!
once we made it up there we had a yummy lunch my mom prepared us including turkey and pb and honey sandwiches and chips
 and for dessert... s’mores! yummy!
for some reason everything seems to taste so much better when you are in the middle of nowhere on some mountain!

then it was time to break out the four wheeler… one of my favorite past times from the cabin (along with the rope swing.. i’m telling you… we need a new one! haha).  although it took some pushing to get it started… hahaha
once it finally turned over we all had a blast driving around.

i’m just glad that with my direction skills that me and nat didn’t get lost in the woods somewhere!

my dad then took out his guns.
we didn’t do too bad if i do say so myself!
even if most of the holes were my dad’s we all got at least one hit on the log.

being up there for those few short hours makes me want to go back again. i love being out in nature… it’s so peaceful! and don’t worry… next time tony will come with me! i told him we would get some fresh buffalo jerky that is sold on the side of the road on the way to the cabin… and let him take his guns with us to do some shooting! so maybe next time we go he will make sure to not be working... haha

and if you haven't seen them yet... click here to check out the sweet pictures i got of the cabin / scenery around the cabin on my website.
