veinticuatro

so i don't know why i had the urge to have a spanish title but i feel like my titles are always boring so this is a way to spice things up... i guess... haha ok… i am getting off track… so my birthday week was quite crazy and fun this year but that is just how I like it. friday i got off work early so we could go golfing with my parents and sister nat at central valley golf course.

 

i didn’t do as good as i had hoped but tony got 2 birdies! go tony! saturday (my birthday eve) was CRAZY! let me back up a little… so as i’m sure you all know by now we are selling our condo! yay! we just want a place with a yard for the pups (and eventually kids) to run and play. so friday our listing was officially out there (check it out here). well after golf friday we got a call from an agent wanting to bring people through… holy cow that was quick! our place had been on the market for literally 2 hours and we had people wanting to look at it! well we weren’t home and didn’t have a key in the lockbox so we asked them to reschedule. well saturday morning we woke up to another phone call for people to come look from 11-noon. well my sister brittney and her family were in town and were planning on coming over to swim at our pool at around that time. so tony ended up taking the dogs to my parents house to play while i stayed back and swam. at one point i was sitting on the stairs when drew came and poured a bucket of water on my head… silly boy! So of course he continued to do it cuz everyone thought it was funny!

 

then we had to be out of the house from 2-3 so more people could come look at our place… holy cow people! haha later that night we went to dinner with everyone and then me and tony headed to kohl’s for some pre-birthday shopping.

 

and of course that night we wanted to stay up til midnight to celebrate but i may or may not have fallen asleep on the couch before midnight approached… oops! haha luckily tony was up and he could wake me up to make a toast to me and then head off to bed!

the morning of my birthday (yay!) tony made me a delicious breakfast complete with fresh blueberry pancakes, bacon, and eggs. yummy!!

 then it was gift time! tony had hid them throughout the house but after i had searched the whole house and still couldn’t find them we had to play the hot/cold game.

then just like all the years before we headed off to the mall so i could shop! my favorite!

 

since britt was still here on my birthday my parents decided to have a bbq complete with hamburgers, pasta salad, and corn on the cob. 

and for dessert… peach cobbler! It had been so long since I had had any that I demanded my dad make his yummy cobbler in the dutch oven just like when I was a kid! haha

then we all went outside, my dad started a fire and we cooked up some smores and enjoyed each others company.

 

i had taken the next day off work to keep the celebration going! me and tony got up and headed over to wingpointe to golf. i had never been there and i did not realize it was literally at the airport! haha it was a fun course even if i couldn’t hit my driver worth crap!

i then headed back to my parents house so i could say goodbye to britt and the kiddos. only a few more months til i get to see them again! yay!

 

then it was back to the mall with tony where we got a sweet deal on some hats and some super delicious caramel apples and chocolate doggie treats from rock mountain chocolate factory. holy cow they were amazingly yummy!!

tuesday we met tom and trudy and joe’s crab shack. holy cow… i love that place! i pounded over a pound of crab and probably could of kept going if i hadn’t run out of food! haha then as we were getting ready to leave we saw some other people celebrating their birthdays and so of course they all wanted to tell our waiter josh (who i went to middle school with by the way) that we were celebrating my birthday. so he runs and gets my costume… and made me do the hula while everyone sang happy birthday to me. pretty sure i was blushing the whole time…

UPDATE: we also went to red lobster with the fitzgeralds a few weeks after my birthday. we had the best waiter there! thanks taylor for making tony sick with all you can eat shrimp! :)

so in case any of you are wondering… yes i enjoyed my birthday and yes i get super spoiled and i love it! thanks to everyone who made my birthday awesome! :)
