black friday!

first of all i hope everyone had a great thanksgiving! i know we did. i always get so excited to cram as much food into me as possible and not feel guilty about it. it's what thanksgiving is all about right? haha ok and focusing on what we are grateful for. i just want to say how grateful i am for all of our family and friends and of course for my amazing hubby and the pups. they all bring such joy into my life and am so grateful for all that they do for me!

so... last year we tried the whole black friday shopping at midnight with our friends natalie and taylor but... we really didn't have a plan or know why we were going except that we wanted to. this year was much different. we knew who we needed to buy for and had an idea of what we wanted to get them. tony had to work at 11:30pm on thanksgiving night so i joined nat and tay at midnight where we headed over to the south towne mall. it was the first time i had ever waited in line with all of the crazies! it was funny to watch people sprint to get inside the mall... crazy people! after finding a few deals (which i can't brag about because i don't want to ruin anyone's christmas gift!) we headed to best buy, and then to kohls to visit tony! after shopping there for a few hours (until 4:00am to be exact) tony left work and nat and taylor went home since taylor had to work later that day. tony still wanted to do some shopping so we went home real quick and then headed over to staples to try to find me a laptop for a good price. although we didn't end up getting a laptop there i did end up getting photoshop for $25!! (normally $100) we then went to sports authority (which was lame) and then to fye. by then it was 6:00am and the sun was about to come up. so what did we do? we headed over to sams club of course! haha we ended up getting home around 7:30am and took a quick 3 hour nap before waking up and visiting a few more stores in search of the perfect gifts at the perfect price! we did eventually find me a laptop online from best buy and i ended up saving about $300 on it which is awesome! all-in-all i would say we had a successful black friday and thanksgiving! its always nice to spend time with family and friends. its one of the many reasons why i love this time of the year!
