before i start my long post about mesquite/vegas i promised a picture of my other new purse so here it is!
anyways... like i mentioned in my last post, for my 21st birthday me and tony took a trip to vegas! but first we stopped in mesquite to spend a few days with my family.
the 'owls'
we got there that night and within an hour of arriving me and tony went to the casa blanca casino so i could gamble! woohoo!
the next morning we woke up and took some family photos.
i think they turned out way cute! :).
the girls!

we spent a lot of time in the pool, hanging out, and playing games.
i don't know why but this picture makes me laugh
friday morning all the boys (except drew of coarse) went golfing in the hot mesquite sun. they said it really wasn't that unbearable until the last couple of holes played. (i don't have any pictures of them golfing because they 'left the camera in the car'... haha)
while the boys golfed the girls made crafts! me my mom and brit all made wooden blocks with words while nat made herself a headband and me a cute flower thing for my hair. i think they turned out way cute.
by saturday night everyone but me and tony had left mesquite. we went to one of tony's favorite places in mesquite... popeye's chicken and basically just relaxed the whole day so we could be plenty rested for vegas.
we were just sitting at popeyes when i noticed that it looked like the chicken was trying to eat tony! haha i had to take a picture...
we slept in sunday morning (check in time wasn't until 3:00) packed our stuff and then headed out to las vegas! the first night was spent at the palms... holy crap it was so nice!!
we were on the 22nd floor, room 322
i love this bed! i wanted to take it home!
yep... there was a tv in the bathroom.
a shower with 3 shower heads!
the secret door that led to...
another bathroom!
looking down from one of our decks
what made it even nicer was the fact that we stayed there for free! let me explain... we had the hotel booked back in april when my boss (at steris) said that he would pay for $150 of the room. (we have a coke machine at work and the money from it pays for nice gifts for employees when they get married or has a kid etc. well me and tony never redeemed our wedding gift from the coke machine and now seemed like a good time) well a couple of months later my boss comes up to me with that scary line "can i talk to you for a second..." he brought me in his office and it turns out my collections score were lower than anyone elses! (that is a good thing) so he offered to pay for the entire room! woohoo!!
oh! and i just have to mention that within just a few hours of being in vegas i saw a celebrity... larry king!! i was so excited! haha i wanted to get a picture with him but chickened out... oh well!
so that night after we got settled into our room and explored the hotel, me and tony went to see 'the other guys'... it was a really strange movie. definitely not what we expected... but hey! it was still funny!
this was on the floor at the theater! yay mj!
the next day we check out of the palms and checked into the luxor... which was also free! let me explain again. we were originally only going to stay the one night in vegas but when les (from steris) heard that i was going to vegas the same time he was, he offered us a free night stay in the luxor! how could we refuse another free night in vegas?!
so we checked in and tony was kind enough to walk up and down the strip with me while i shopped for my birthday! this was a day i used that 'but it's my birthday' excuse alot! :) but seriously... thank you tony for putting up with my dangerous shopping obbsession!
there are some strange people on the strip...
i saw michael jackson! :)
just some pictures i took while walking the strip
when we got back to the hotel we decided to put a dollar in the slots... i lost mine but tony turned his dollar into $38!! i am so proud! what a way to end the perfect birthday week!
Wow, your trip looked so fun!! I'm jealous! And happy belated birthday, by the way...Love the blog!!
