one year!!

wow how time flies! i can't believe it has already been one year since i married my best friend! we celebrated by heading down to mesquite for a relaxing weekend together.

we left thursday after work and didn't get down there until about 11:30 utah time. even though we wanted to get to mesquite before dark we still got to enjoy a beautiful sunset and i even saw a shooting star!

we spent friday relaxing, swimming, and (of coarse) eating popeyes!

we happened to be awake that night at midnight when it was officially our anniversary and took a few pictures before heading off to bed.

 

we had planned to go golfing for our anniversary (i mean it was $20 for 18 holes and a cart... who could pass up that deal??) but tony was having issues with his eye and couldn't wear his contacts. so instead we decided to go bowling!

we did, however, find a golf shop that had one of those simulator things so we spent a good couple hours there hitting some golf balls. and i just have to say that i hit a 201 yard drive... which is really good for a beginner! anyways that night my grandparents and great aunt and uncle came to stay at the condo and we moved into a hotel at the eureka for the next couple nights. after getting settled into our room we walked over to the 'experience buffet' after this coupon for 2 free buffet meals fell into our laps

it happened to be a crab leg buffet... we went crazy and ate until we felt like we were going to explode!

the next morning (well afternoon) we woke up and headed over to the condo. (the 'old folks' had left for a few hours) we sat and watched football (go steelers!!) then that night my grandma made all of us dinner. it was so good! thanks grandma! the rest of the night was full of golf (the card game), swimming, watching the news about the fire in herriman, banana cream pie, and hillbillies catching them some gators. after 3 of the 4 old people had headed off to bed we decided to head back to hotel to get some sleep ourselves. we were originally supposed to come home monday night but decided to stay one more day in mesquite. and its a good thing we did! we ended up playing bingo and i won 3 times!! my total for the day was $67!! i could of won more but i had to share my winnings each time... old people and their bingo machines..... oh! but get this. i could of won an extra $200 but we didn't pay the extra dollar to validate me. oh well... we have learned our lesson! so tuesday came and we headed home... it was bittersweet... having to leave vacation is always sad... you have to come back to reality... but i got to see my puppy cyber again! i love her! and she is always so happy when we come through the door... its so cute!
