over memorial day weekend i was able to finally take a trip to colorado to see my sister brittney and her family. she has been living there for a couple years and i am just barely making a trip up there... i'm a terrible sister i know! my dad drove me and my little sis nat to meet up with my mom who was already there. its been a long time since i have driven in the car with her and it was so fun! we basically talked and goofed off the whole way there! (did you see the herd of co?? haha nat should we go to conoco?? haha) i'm surprised my dad didn't go insane! haha
anyways... the reason why i finally made it up there is to meet my new niece elise emily engel! isn't she just adorable?
i love these little sandals! (and her little toes!)
she is so freakin cute i couldn't get enough of her!
of course i also got to see my little nephew drew. me and nat got to be his roommates while we were there which was awesome! he is such a funny kid, he was always finding ways to crack us all up! (four minus one equals... three or two! haha) i loved when he would sing "you are my sunshine", or "my buttons, my buttons, my four groovy buttons".
he calls me 'rissa' and it's so cute!!
on a side note... for some reason whenever there is a ball we always play the "keep the ball in the air" game. love it! haha
josh (britt's hubby) was also able to bless her while the family was there. such a great day and i loved her little dress!

and of course we also wanted to spend some time together which we did plenty of! we went shopping (which of course i am always up for), mini golfing,
we made delicious brownies
and we even flew a kite with drew!
basically we had a busy fun weekend!
my mom was with us in the car on the way home and we all just talked and sang at the top of our lungs the whole way! i was so hoarse when i got home but it was worth it! i can't wait to see my sis and her family again! :) its' only been a week but i miss them already!
